Kosher friendly, however, is not limited to holidays alone: all packages in the "Tailor-Made Stay" collection can be adapted in a kosher friendly mode, upon request, for those who wish to experience Sardinia at other times of the year while maintaining their dietary and observance habits.

Villa Milena does not provide or arrange certified meals, chefs or caterers. Instead, we prepare the house and kitchen in a way that facilitates independent kosher management by the guest:

we empty the kitchen of pots, dishes, lids, utensils, textiles and any items that may have come in contact with non-kosher food, storing them in an enclosed space that is not accessible during the stay
we clean refrigerator, pantry, surfaces and cabinets with suitable products and leave them empty, ready to be used with kosher products and equipment
we take care of receiving and delivering to the villa, prior to your arrival, products purchased online by you from certified kosher suppliers who deliver to Sardinia
upon request we purchase on your behalf dedicated pots, pans, pans and utensils, agreed upon in advance, which are delivered new and sealed to the villa; the cost of these items is borne by the guest and is reimbursed according to the relevant receipts/invoices
good quality sealed disposable glasses, plates and cutlery are always included in the packages for the duration of the stay, to simplify table management and reduce worries related to the use of the house kitchen

The villa's kosher-friendly preparation service (emptying the kitchen, dedicated cleaning, receiving groceries, setting up new equipment purchased for you) is offered at no additional service charge; only the products and items you decide to purchase remain your responsibility.

Kosher Responsibility

Villa Milena offers kosher friendly hospitality: we prepare the house, empty the kitchen, arrange deliveries and purchases of new equipment, and provide disposable materials. Full compliance with kashrut regulations, how to kasherize equipment and rabbinic supervision remain the sole responsibility of the guest and his or her primary rav.

Reservation times

To ensure thorough house preparation, we do not accept kosher/kosher friendly reservations made within 72 hours of check-in. For Shabbat and holiday packages, reservations must be made further in advance (as indicated in the individual proposals) so that we can empty and clean the kitchen in every detail, coordinate deliveries from your chosen kosher vendors, and prepare the required set-up.

Villa Milena can accommodate up to 8 people in a private setting, just a few minutes walk from the sea, and is ideal for families and small groups looking for a stay in Italy that combines comfort, nature and respect for traditions. Note on Shabbat reservations and kosher packages in the Villa

To ensure thorough preparation of the house and dedicated services, the Shabbat in Villa package must be booked by Sunday for the Thursday through Sunday stay of the following week. In addition, for all kosher/kosher-friendly packages, reservations made within 72 hours of check-in are not accepted, as the villa kitchen must be completely emptied and cleaned in every corner with suitable products and set up each time for the specific event, following the indications the needs of the guest.

We take care of shipping and delivery to the villa, always at our own expense; you will also find new sealed sponges, tea towels and cloths in the house, so each family can organize its kitchen in full compliance with its religious customs. All purchased equipment remains only for the use of the guests who ordered it: at the end of the stay it can be taken away or left in the villa, with the assurance that it will not be used by us for kosher food preparation in subsequent stays. For the main Shavuot meals and any Shabbat we recommend the use of an outside certified kosher caterer; for the rest of the stay each family can cook on their own with their own kosher equipment, enjoying a peaceful vacation consistent with their traditions.
